Blastball is an introductory program where the basics of baseball (hitting, throwing, catching, and learning to run bases), and soccer (running, kicking, dribbling and aiming at a target) are introduced to kids ages 3-4 years old. Small groups of players and their parents rotate through stations that use various pieces of equipment to develop skills in a fun environment. Each week, half of the session is spent on baseball while the other half is spent on soccer. This is a great activity to expose your child to both team sports.
Blastball is held once per week on Monday evenings in a one-hour time slot. Coaches will lead the activities, but parents should come prepared to be active with their little athlete and take part in the program with them. Parent participation is necessary for the success of the program.
What is needed?
Dress your player for the weather, with shoes they can run in and bring a water bottle. All equipment is supplied. Cleats and baseball gloves are not needed at this level. A shirt, shorts, socks, and soccer ball will be provided through the TimBits program.
Coaching and organizing help are always appreciated. No baseball or soccer experience is necessary.
The season starts on May 25.
